About Nemesis

Nemesis was a steel roller coaster at Alton Towers in Staffordshire, England, UK. It opened in 1994 and closed in 2024. The ride stood 43 feet tall, dropped 104 feet and reached 50 mph over 2,349 feet of track, with 4 inversions.

Sunk almost entirely into a man-made ravine so it barely rises above ground level, Nemesis was one of the first inverted coasters to weave riders between rock outcrops at close range.
