About Nitro

Nitro is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA, open since 2001. The ride stands 230 feet tall, drops 215 feet and reaches 80 mph over 5,394 feet of track.

One of the defining hypercoasters of the early-2000s boom, Nitro strings together seven airtime hills across open New Jersey woodland for a ride built purely around floating out of your seat.

Field note: part of a wave of B&M hypercoasters that set the template most modern hypers still follow.
