About Storm Chaser

Storm Chaser is a hybrid roller coaster at Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, open since 2016. The ride stands 100 feet tall, drops 90 feet and reaches 53 mph over 3,095 feet of track, with 3 inversions.

Rebuilt from a wooden coaster called Twisted Twister, Storm Chaser added three inversions to the reworked layout, part of the wave of hybrid rebuilds sweeping regional parks in the 2010s.

Field note: retains much of its original wooden structure beneath the newer steel rail.
