About Steel Curtain

★ Most inversions of any coaster in North America (9)

Steel Curtain is a launched steel roller coaster at Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, USA, open since 2019. The ride stands 220 feet tall, drops 200 feet and reaches 75 mph over 4,000 feet of track, with 9 inversions.

Nine inversions — the most of any coaster in North America — wrapped around a 220-foot tower shaped like a steel football laced through the sky. Themed to the Pittsburgh Steelers' Super Bowl legacy.

Field note: its first drop plunges riders through the frame of its own support tower.
