About Formula Rossa

★ World's fastest coaster, 2010–2026

Formula Rossa is a launched steel roller coaster at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, open since 2010. The ride stands 171 feet tall and reaches 149 mph over 6,890 feet of track.

A hydraulic launch coaster built for one thing: raw acceleration. Riders reach 149 mph in under five seconds and are required to wear protective goggles, a rule almost no other coaster in the world enforces.

Field note: held the world speed record for fifteen years before Falcon's Flight surpassed it.
