Boulder Dash is a wooden roller coaster at Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut, USA, open since 2000. The ride stands 115 feet tall, drops 98 feet and reaches 60 mph over 4,725 feet of track.
Built directly into the granite of Southington Mountain, Boulder Dash uses the natural terrain instead of flat ground — trains vanish behind rock outcrops and tree lines throughout the ride.
Field note: one of relatively few coasters routed through a forest rather than cleared land.
